Laura Comfort’s new AA side Single

Right Recordings is delighted to announce the release of I’m No Barbie / One Way Or Another, the new AA side single by Laura Comfort. I’m No Barbie is taken from Laura’s outstanding new album Don’t Ignore Me, whilst One Way Or Another is a reworking of the classic Blondie track. The release follows the success of her previous single Come Take A Ride, which reached Number 18 in the UK Club Charts.

Both tracks on the new AA side single were recorded with the talented guitarist, Koe Naiche. Koe was discovered and nurtured by the music industry legend Dave Most of RAC Records and has worked alongside Eric Clapton, and with the legendary producer/engineer Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones). His American Indian heritage and commanding stage presence perfectly compliment Laura.

Laura recently collaborated with the acclaimed producer John Ryan (Santana, Styx, Lynyrd Skynyrd) on her latest album Dont Ignore Me. Laura’s unique voice, song-writing talent and striking looks have catapulted her into the spotlight. Originally from New York, but now a confirmed Londoner, she began singing from an early age in school choirs and a cappella goups before joining a successful band in college, leading to an East Coast tour of the USA and early TV appearances.I'm No Barbie CDcover

After moving to London she began playing guitar, and hit the singer-songwriter scene, performing in many of London’s live venues including Ronnie Scott’s Bar, the Groucho Club and the Arts Club in Mayfair. She then hit the charts, with her first release Let the Music Take Control reaching the Top 30 in the Music Week Pop Chart, and Top 10 in the UK Club Chart, championed by BBC Radio 1. Her follow up singles, Can’t Get Enough, Mountain and Addicted were equally successful, receiving rave reviews and airplay across UK and Europe. Now with a more organic rock ’n’ roll sound, Laura is poised to storm the charts again.
