Marking his official EP release for ‘Someone You’re Thinking Of’, Israeli singer-songwriter Sir. O played a packed out O2 Academy2.

A relative newcomer to the UK indie scene, Sir. O (aka Saar Oron) has seemingly developed a lively and loyal following. Indeed, his brand of melodic, acoustic-pop has the ability to sway many a music fans. Extremely catchy and incredibly well pieced together, his songs define the term ‘infectious’.

Opening his set with EP track ‘Stay’, Sir. O’s backing band, a classic four-piece, warmed the audience to their sound. Building to the songs epic chorus, in which Saar Oron belts out ‘it’s all about timing’, the crowd’s attentions were instantly captured. The energetic performance of the whole band similarly won people over, as the members were seen to be dancing, clapping and involving the crowd – a refreshing site in this day in age.

The set also included fan favourite, and EP title track, ‘Someone You’re Thinking Of’. Another hugely catchy track, the intertwining acoustic and electric guitar certainly stood out. An upbeat, dance friendly song, the chorus saw Sir. O and the band really rocking out, showcasing their range of material. Elsewhere, the gig witnessed a duet with female singer Lir, in which Saar Oron led the band into playing the song ‘Lost’. Amongst the 9 song set, Saar Oron played a single acoustic track (‘Comeback’) and for his encore returned to the stage with ‘Glimmer of Hope’.
