Paired with ‘Ordinary Lie’, the track demonstrates what can be achieved with pop music if a touch of intelligence is added to the usual pop tropes, structures and catchy hooks.

‘Wonder of Time’ opens with an understated, simple loop which gives way to his pop-friendly, almost country style vocal. The first verse builds with subtlety towards a singalong chorus which you can immediately join in with. And seeing as this is the kind of thing that pop thrives on, that’s a shrewd move indeed.
