The ‘A-side’ of the album will concentrate on the rockier side of their folk style, with a ‘B-side’ which will have a more electronic-roots feel. The split demonstrates their versatility as well as a work ethic which sees them not only write and produce songs in high volume, but also gig relentlessly too.
It’s all part of a larger project which will see them release the album next month before touring the UK to and releasing a documentary about the tour, the music and more, titled ‘Between & Beyond Storms’.
For a taste of their style, you can hear title track ‘Beyond Storms’ here:
The album itself was impressively funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, further proof that this is a band whose influence is beginning to spread far and wide. The album launch will also coincide with the release of their next single ‘My Alibi’, taken from the ‘B-side’ of the LP.
The UK tour that follows will commence from June 2015, and will close with a grand finale homecoming gig at one of Cambridge’s hottest venues, Junction2. There will also be an Album Launch at Cambridge’s very own Portland Arms on April 3rd.
Overall both albums are great and appeal to a wider audience given the difference between the two. So it’s a given a lot of people are turning head towards keltrix!
