Motivational Hacks To Get Back Into Exercise

We can all fall out of our usual exercise routines. The weather turns cold, so we avoid our daily run. We get busy with life, and so we feel as if we don’t have the time. And there are days when we just can’t be bothered. With a range of excuses to justify our lack of exercise, we fall out of the habit. But you know, and we know that just won’t do! Keeping up with your fitness level is imperative for your long-term health, and your body will look better too! This should be incentive enough, but If you need other ways to motivate yourself back into exercise, check out the following ideas.

Ditch your motor vehicles. If you’re not reliant on a car or motorbike to get around, ditch them! Not only will you reduce your carbon footprint but will save money too! And, of course, you will be forced to get back into exercise to get to where you need to be, whether that’s walking or cycling. So head over to We Buy Any Car or We Want Your Motorbike, make some cash, and then spend it on a new pair of training shoes or a bicycle, and use your legs to get from A to B!

Exercise for charity. If you have a particular interest in a charitable cause, commit to exercising to raise funds for them. Whether it’s something you do on your own, or an organised event that you can take part in, such as a fun run or a marathon, let the knowledge that you are doing good for somebody else be the impetus to get you back into exercise. You win, and they win (even if you come last in the fun run)!

Prepay for a gym or fitness class. Don’t just talk about going back to the gym one day, or trying out a new fitness class. Look at what’s available and pay upfront for a number of sessions. If you don’t go, you will have wasted your money, so this can be one way to give you that incentive to pack your gym kit again and get out of the house.

Look in the mirror. Seriously, do it! If you’re getting a little flabby around the edges, and if your face is pasty white because you haven’t benefited from the fresh air for a while, then let your horrid reflection scare you back into exercise. You know you will feel better if you do, and the next time you look in the mirror, the reflection looking back at you will be a testament to the hard work you have put in.
