As a self-confessed British rock lover, I can’t tell you how exciting it is to receive a new track that suggests we might just have a new breakout group on our hands. In Colour Colour, based on their new single ‘Do Something Beautiful’, we might have just that.
Laced with and accessible pop structure, but full of indie guile and smart little musical moments, this is a song that harks back to the immediate impact of the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and Razorlight. With a similar swagger, this song grabs you by the, well, you know, and doesn’t let go. It’s good, clean fun, and not enough rock music is being made like this these days.
The single is the first from a new EP, also called ‘Do Something Beautiful’ which is out on the 10th of June. Get involved at their website.
